BYOND Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BYOND Holdings LLC (“BYOND,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.byondbitcoin.com, apply for membership, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”).
BYOND is a private club for known, authenticated members to buy, sell, and trade Onli Bitcoin, powered by Onli technology. This policy covers our marketing website and our membership application process. Members admitted to BYOND may receive additional terms and notices that apply to their membership.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to operate the Services and review membership applications.
Information you provide to us
- Application details: your name, email address, country of residence, applicant category (for example, individual or institution), and any other details you choose to include in your application.
- Communications: information you share when you contact us, correspond with a BYOND representative, or respond to our messages.
Information from identity verification
BYOND uses Didit, a third-party identity verification provider, to verify applicants. When you choose to verify, you leave our website and complete Didit's hosted verification flow. Didit may collect an identity document, a face or liveness check, and other information required for screening and security checks.
- Your identity document images and biometric data are collected and processed by Didit, not stored by BYOND.
- We receive and store a verification session reference and your verification status or result.
Membership and O/BTC™ information
BYOND does not take custody of members' bitcoin. Members retain custody of their O/BTC™. If you are admitted as a member, BYOND securely stores your privately custodied O/BTC™, along with the records needed to support it, such as Title and Crypt references and transaction history.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting providers may automatically log technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and understanding how the site performs.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Receive, store, and review your membership application
- Verify your identity and confirm your eligibility for membership
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations, including know-your-customer (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML), and sanctions screening requirements
- Show you the status of your application and communicate with you about it
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services and prevent fraud or misuse
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website
- Enforce our terms and protect our legal rights
Passing identity verification or saving an application does not create a BYOND account or grant membership. Verification and membership admission are separate steps.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as described below.
Service providers. We use trusted providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes we specify:
| Provider | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Didit | Identity verification, liveness checks, screening | Identity document, biometric capture, verification result |
| Vercel | Hosting the marketing website | Technical and log data |
| Google and AgentMail | Communications with applicants | Name, email address, message content |
Didit processes identity documents and biometric data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it.
Onli and affiliates. We may share information with The Onli Corporation and our affiliates, which provide the technology that powers BYOND, to operate and secure the Services.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BYOND, our members, or others, or to detect and prevent fraud.
Business transfers. If BYOND is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
With your consent. We may share information for other purposes when you direct or permit us to.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to deliver and secure the site, such as those that keep pages loading correctly and protect against abuse.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because no common industry standard exists. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
5. Data retention and security
Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Application records are kept for five (5) years after a decision on your application, or longer where law requires us to retain identity and verification records (for example, under AML recordkeeping rules). When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Security. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit each applicant to their own application, secure storage for privately custodied O/BTC™, and the use of specialized providers for sensitive identity data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
